the Bear SG nah.. this bear has a fatass butt anyway, the bazaar upstairs only sells mooncakes... i'm buying mine somewhen this week.. maybe this weekend.. i'll bring about 3 to office
Wanda SG My SO is attracted to perky butts, and I'll point out to him if we see a perky-butt-gal/woman passing by. I prefer tight bums.
Wanda SG Meanwhile, I wonder what's the earliest appropriate time for me to go for an early lunch? Maybe I'll eat the yummy lor mee.
the Bear SG oh.. saw something silly upstairs at the bazaar... 8 bite-sized mooncakes with gold foil on the things... total damage = $60.85 the ones without, 8 for $41.80 wtf?? why are mooncakes so damned expensive? one bite-sized mooncake for over $5!
the Bear SG i'm not hungry.. (surprise surprise!) had chye tau kuey this morning because most of the other stalls were closed and the other stalls had long queues.. someone out there had to eat the white version while i got the black version... i prefer the white version..
Wanda SG I like chye tai kueh, and I like to eat it with chilli by the side for dipping, instead of frying the whole lot with chilli...taste nicer that way. The chye tai kueh stall at my place has stopped selling the black version. It may have something to do with not wanting to wash the flat wok after frying a batch of black version.
hisoka SG the store at the temp china town building howker got around that by having 2 stores one for black stuff and one for white
elindra SG I wanna eat mooncakes not eat gold foils Heck why do I even want to eat gold when it has no nutritional value and it will just come out when I take a dump ><
Celtic Knot SG Just had that on last saturday at Changi Village... changi village has the yummy white version of the chai tou kuey... go for the one who has the old-looking sign.. loads of eggs...! lots of chye pok too!
hisoka SG its allt he nonsense marketing stuff. and then we have some weird new favors of mooncakes that makes it not even mooncake and taste like crap
elindra SG x2 I never buy the new fangled flavors The best ones are still the lotus paste with egg to me
honeymouse SG What a shame you didn't eat much at such a nice restaurant. I would eat and worry about my weight later!!! We already had our celebration for our 2nd anniversary on Monday night - we went out to a nice restaurant at St Kilda for dinner. And last Sunday, we went exploring the Dandenong Ranges etc. We dated for about 6 years (got engaged for a year) before we got married. When we got together, we were still students and poor so you can see why it took us so long to get married. As for the name Winnie, I was told Winnie is actually a guy's name. I was like you who thought Winnie was a girl's name. I have a girl friend whose name is Winnie.
the Bear SG i never figured this part out... you replace expensive, hard-to-make filling with cheapass salted egg yolk and you get to charge a crapload more money and don't ask me to eat that... i like mooncake.. i like salted egg.. but not together
